Step into our Nefyn branch and you'll almost certainly be greeted by Llŷr, our pharmacist manager who has been at the heart of the community here for over five years.
Born and raised on the Llŷn Peninsula, Llŷr trained as a pharmacist because he wanted to combine science with the kind of face-to-face care that has always mattered in small Welsh communities. His fluency in both Welsh and English means patients can talk about their health in the language they're most comfortable with.
Day to day, Llŷr looks after everything from repeat prescriptions and Common Ailments consultations to travel health and vaccinations. He's a big believer that a quick chat over the counter can often save a wait for a GP appointment, and he encourages patients to pop in whenever something isn't quite right.
Outside work, Llŷr is a keen sea swimmer and can often be spotted along the Nefyn coastline early in the morning. He says nothing beats a proper North Wales sunrise before a busy day in the pharmacy.
If you haven't met Llŷr yet, call in to the Nefyn branch and say hello. He's always happy to talk through your medication, explain a new prescription, or help you decide whether a symptom needs further investigation.

With pollen counts rising across North Wales, our pharmacists share practical advice on managing symptoms without needing a GP appointment.
